The Odyssey of the Soul is one of the best books I’ve read on the subject of astral projection/out-of-body experience, and lucid dreaming, and I have read many. Labat provides clear and comprehensive instructions for inducing these explorations in consciousness and illustrates them with excerpts from his personal OBE journal. Reading the experiences of other explorers really helps to demonstrate and personalize the instructional materials, so that beginners know what to expect as they set out to explore the nonphysical dimension. He discusses facets of OBE study that are not covered---or only touched on---in other books in the genre, such as the connection between OBE and neuroscience, the role of Kundalini energy and the chakras, and adapting our OBE practice to our sleep pattern, our astrological sign, our psychological profile, and other personal factors. This is an excellent addition to the literature in the OBE genre that will be valuable to both novice and veteran astral explorers.
